Longer-term Initiatives
#GoSkwela50
September 2022 - Present
#GoSkwela50 is a collective effort to support striving but struggling Filipino students via donations from generous individuals in the community amounting to PHP 1,000 recurring financial assistance for every student per month.
As of time of writing, our team is supporting 23 high school students with funds sent by our donors.
You can join the movement and help a student make their dreams happen with just P50/month! Click here to learn more.
One Gadget One Child
June 2020 - March 2021
One Gadget One Child was a nonprofit initiative we did to distribute preloved/unused laptops, tablets, or smartphones to students who cannot afford to secure their own when COVID-19 hit and they had to transition to online distant learning.
Together with a great team of volunteers, we were able to give 83 devices to deserving Filipino students by the end of the initiative.
We have formally concluded this project, but if you have unused devices that you would want to donate, feel free to contact me so I can arrange for it to be sent to still needing students.
The Rice Movement
April - October 2020
The Rice Movement was a nonprofit initiative our team started to help families of Filipinos who lost jobs due to COVID-19. We did this by raising funds from the community to buy rice for these families enough to sustain them for at least a month staying home.
By the end of the project, our team was able to raise a total of PHP 1,499,723.09 and used these funds to give 1,220 sacks of rice to 5,221 family members of displaced workers in Cebu, Manila, and Bacolod.
I'm passionate about doing volunteer work to help especially individuals struggling to get access to essential things like food, education, jobs, and more. If you have a project aimed at doing this that you think I can contribute to in any way, please let me know. As long as I am capable, I would love to help.
